Bachelor of Arts, Philosophy, Rhodes College, 1995
Jonathan joined Hardison in 1999 and became partner in 2006. His philosophy is to provide an aggressive defense on cases that lack merit, while striving to evaluate cases with high exposure early for settlement. In addition to being a member of the Memphis Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, American Bar Association, Defense Resource Institute and the Tennessee Healthcare Association, Jonathan regularly presents seminars on topics such as HIPAA, fall prevention, charting and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Jonathan is a frequent volunteer to Memphis Area Legal Services and the Community Legal Center, and he is co-general counsel of the Hospitality Hub. Jonathan and wife Rachel have a daughter, Marley, at University of South Carolina, and a son, Jack, in third grade at Campus School. An avid sports fan, Jonathan can be found cheering for University of Memphis, University of Tennessee or in his season ticket seats at the Memphis Grizzlies games. Jonathan also enjoys running and recently finished his third marathon.
